Old and Rusty

Editor's note --  al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri criticized road and bridges in the United States on Thursday, according to The Onion.

Ayman al-Zawahiri criticizing U.S. bridges

"We want to turn your bridges into rubble, but if we claimed credit for making them collapse, nobody would ever believe us.

"We'd really just be doing you a favor because then you'd actually have to rebuild them," al-Zawahiri added.

Tick. Tock.

Editor's note -- The guy from the Infectious Greed blog gloated at WSJ's contradiction in headlines yesterday.

"Mind your own beeswax Kedrosky,"
WSJ fired back. "Our Futile Headline as of 12:41 p.m. is Talks on Debt Resume!"

"Cute"

Nerd

Editor's note -- The Wall Street Journal ran a compilation of news stories on July 14th. The featured news story was about Psychodrama Queens

The WSJ thought Paul Krugman was a nerd because he said anyone who didn't read his blog was an ignoramus.

Krugman at Brooklyn Book Festival

Editor's note -- Krugman used to read Isaac Asimov's Foundation science-fiction novels about scientists in the future using psychohistory to save civilization.

The Editor can only assume this is why he made up the name Psychodrama Queens for his July12th blog post.

Anniversary Aves

Editor's note -- Raven Smith at AnOther Magazine loved Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds Barbie Doll about a week ago.  Barbie is portraying Tippie Hedren portraying Melanie Daniels being attacked by black birds that are either crows or ravens.
ALFRED HITCHCOCK’S “THE BIRDS” THEMED BARBIE DOLL

Editor's note -- Mattel, Inc. made the The Birds Barbie Doll for the 45th anniversary of The Birds in 2008.  Below is a picture of what she looks like in the box. Amazon sells The Birds Barbie Doll for $99.42 $99.99...

The Editor is not sure why Raven Smith at AnOther Magazine all of a sudden loved Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds Barbie Doll a week ago, but wishes the doll a Happy 48th Anniversary anyway!!

The day after

Editor's note -- Once again, Paul Krugman is wrong. And somewhat delusional. Perhaps he had too many libations at Fourth of July celebratory festivities.

"I realized that a Yiddish song
performed by three Greek sisters
is what America is all about,"
Krugman slurred.

(Your video is a nice slice of Americana. I'll give you that much.)

Freedom from Like

Editor's note -- In defiance of the Wall Street Journal, the Editor has indeed tweeted its article. They should be pleased to learn, however, that it was not well-liked enough to merit a  "like" on the Editor's Facebook page.

[LIKE]
"Rise up against the tyranny of the 'Like' button,"
said the WSJ.
