Dust

Editor's note -- Wherein Chicago Sun-Times movie critic Roger Ebert explains why the meaninglessness of the Universe consoles him:
A message from light years away would probably miss me in my box of space and time, but I find that Art can shout to me across a few years or centuries, and it carries the same message: "Yes, I exist, and you are not alone."

What is this quintessence of dust?

Editor's note --- And who is Art ?!?

  1. The vastness of space always humbles me, in a positive way, actually. If everyone could realize how microscopic we actually are in the scheme of things, we would realize how even more microscopic our individual wishes for grandeur and adulation are, and how ridiculous. I think the world would be a better place if everyone was aware of this.
Just a little philosophizing. Very little--microscopic, even!
By the way, you are doing a wonderful job with Abner's story. I bow down to your greatness!

  2. Uh....I don't know where my last comment went. It was all philosophical and stuff. I guess it got beamed down on Scatter or something.

  3. Only a genius can recognize greatness! I look forward to your telling of Encarnacion's tale of Abner's amnesia with, as Shakespeare would say, "bated breath and whisp'ring humbleness."

  4. I am humbled by my error! I meant to say I look forward to Miss LeMort's telling of Encarnacion's tale of Abner's amnesia with, as Shakespeare would say, "bated breath and whisp'ring humbleness.
