Walt Disney introduces the Florida Project |
PRIME LOCATION -- Walt Disney selected Central Florida near Orlando for his newest theme park, Walt Disney World Resort. The project was shrouded in secrecy until Disney unveiled his plans in fall 1965.
Editor's note -- Also shrouded in secrecy was Walt Disney's role as an F.B.I. informant and
covert employment by the House Un-American Activities
Committee as a spy against Communists in Hollywood.
And he and J. Edgar Hoover belonged to the secret
society of Freemasons, too!

It was the best of times and the worst of times. But not for me. In my mind, Kazan will always direct some of my favorite movies, including the cinematic masterpiece, On the Waterfront.
ReplyDeleteI know. I like his movies, too. That's what makes his UnAmerican activity so distressing.
